The sub-division of VS is supposedly geared towards high schoolers and undergrads, but is usually found on awkward middle school girls, typically in the form of bejewled hoodies and capri-length sweat pants with PINK written across the butt.

Something about the brand is just inherently annoying and cheesy to me. The bright colors, unsophisticated graphics, and heavy labeling might have something to do with it. Don’t get me wrong, some of their undies and tops (sans logo) are pretty cute, but I have NO desire to wear a “most popular” t-shirt bra emblazoned with the VS PINK crest in rainbow colors. I’ve been wearing a bra for close to 10 years now – the novelty has worn off. Additionally, I doubt my boyfriend would be impressed (or tuned on!) if I busted out a yellow polka dotted scoopneck come Friday night.

With the juvenile designs one might expect some juvenile pricing to fit junior-high budgets, but Pink doesn’t even offer that. Instead, their bras hover around the $35-$40 range, and their apparel is even more pricy. $90 for a rhinestone encrusted zip up ? Really? Online, Pink even offers logo-covered bedding that oh-so-conveniently fits twin extra-long dorm beds should you wish to showcase your love of the line in your room at college. I’m not kidding. And don’t even get me started on their “Collegiate Collection.”

Did I mention that Pink not only sells underwear, flip flops, tote bags, lounge wear, and bedding, but also skirts and jeans now? Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t ever see myself trading in my Sevens, or even my A&Fs, for a pair of Pink skinnies. It’s just not gonna happen.

I splurged a little the other day on Victoria's Secret's website. I needed a new bathing suit, but I bought 3! Well 3 and a half technically because I bought a smaller size in a bottom that I already have from there that's too big. The deals were just too good! I mean I know Victoria's Secret has cheap swim suits but these were on super sale for like $9 each!

I didn't know what size to order. So I just ended up ordering all XS in tops and bottoms alike, and crossed my fingers that they would fit. I received them in the mail a couple days ago and they all fit very nicely! I'm very glad!

It looks like a hot pink color in the photo, but I think it looks red in person. I was hoping for the hot pink but oh well, it's still super cute. I love how the top is mostly white and the bottom is reversed in mostly coral.

The strap of the top is removable so you can wear it as a strapless top as well which is nice for tanning - won't get those tank lines! It did tend to fall down a little, so maybe I needed to tie the back more. The fold over style of the bottom is awesome. I really like the low rise look. It's flattering and does not cut into the skin. I think it's the most flattering of all bottom styles they offer. This set is the most expensive ones I bought at $15 for the top and $14 for the bottom. Awesome!

The top has built in push up padding which I did not know when I ordered. It's not bad and definitely does the job! Gives a nice cleavage. I like the plaid look, it's very different and cute. I got the jade colored bottoms as shown in this photo, because I like the mismatched look - they do match at the same time! But I didn't get it in the double tie string style as shown above. I got it in the low rise tanga style like this picture below:

By the way, I actually really like the swim suit in this picture too, but it was more expensive so I didn't get it. Anyway, I just posted it to show the style of the bottom I got in jade. It's like a low rise style but the sides are sort of rouched and you can adjust the width. I actually found that this style cuts into the skin more than the others. But not so bad that it's unwearable. Maybe I just need to tone up more! Haha

So after I got the green plaid top and the jade bottom, I decided, since they are only $9 a piece, why don't I just order the reverse colors?! That way I can mismatch the jade top and plaid bottom, as well as match plaid top with plaid bottom and jade top with jade bottom. So that way I get 4 different outfits for under $40!

Hehe so I went ahead and got the jade top in the same style as the plaid top. But the plaid bottom I got the low rise style instead of the low rise tanga style. Confusing I know!

Since I gave birth in August, I have been rotating five sad-looking nursing bras. For a while now, I've been meaning to upgrade to more sexy support systems. But as most new mothers know, there's not a lot of free time those first few months - and when you do get some downtime, you take a nap.

But last week, I decided enough was enough. It was high time my undergarments made me feel like a woman again, rather than a milk maid. So I made a sojourn to Victoria's Secret to get outfitted for a ultra-feminine bra.

The first thing I did upon entering the land of lingerie was flag down a helpful salesperson and asked to be fitted. Pre-pregnancy, I was barely a 34B - but her tape measure revealed that, post-pregnancy, I am now a 36D!!!

I told the saleswoman that I was in search of a bra that would give the girls some serious lift (post-baby, gravity is not your friend). I also mentioned how frustrated I have become with my nursing bras and the fact that they look lumpy under my form-fitting tops. So she introduced me to Victoria's Secret Incredible Bra and selected a few styles to try on.

In the dressing room, I discovered that the Incredible Bra is aptly named. It's moniker isn't just a clever marketing ploy. It was as if Victoria's Secret read my mind and created a bra just for me. So I snagged the Incredible Demi Bra (for everyday) and the Incredible Front-Close Push Up Bra (for dramatic, Jessica Rabbit-esque décolletage). So what's so incredible about these bras? Lemme break it down:

The bras have a cushioned underwire doesn't dig, bind or pinch. Both styles I purchased are front-close, which makes it, literally, a snap for me to nurse my constantly hungry baby boy. Last, but definitely not least, both bras feature self-adjusting straps that fit perfectly every time. Summer is fast approaching, the weather is getting warmer nights are getting longer and its time to put those cold winter days behind us. Even though I delighted to see the back of winter, I am filled with a little bit of dread. As I pack away my winter clothes and bring out my summer clothes I start to break in to a sweat. Last time I wore these clothes it was pre baby. Lets face it last summer was a right off, I spent my days under a tree wearing a tent to cover up my beached whale appearance.
This year I am proud to say I have lost all of the 4 stone I gained with Dylan, my body is not really the same as it was before, So those little tummy bearing tops and short shorts are just not going to cut it this year.

However fear not my fellow Mummies, we are after all Yummy Mummies and we must not hide in the shade in a dress resembling a tent. Its time to do a little shake up of our wardrobes. The first thing I did before even contemplating going shopping to get a few summer bits was to put some fake tan on. Rock Star Tan is an amazing organic tan that has no nasty preservatives in it. It also smells really good. It can cover a multitude of sins and disguises some of those lumps and bumps.

Luckily there are some great high street shops that have some great summer essentials that are cheap and cheerful. Pennies (Primark in the UK) Zara are all some of my favorites. Victoria Secrets is one of my favorite shops, they have dresses with padding, to help pull those puppies up to their former glory. They have little wrap dresses and t shirt dresses that not only look great but are reasonably priced too. They have a website that you can browse from the comfort of your own home and will be delivered within 21 days.

You don't need to spend a fortune looking good you just need a few basics that can be worked in with your own wardrobe. A maxi dress (like the one above)is a great way to keep cool and look good on those long summer days running after your little ones. This dress is $59 dollars from Victoria Secrets.

This is the second chapter of my favourite runway picks of Milan Fashion Week. Some of the major trends that came out of Italy this year are: the bare midriff, pleated skirts, crocheting, bold floral prints, sheer fabrics, flowing floor-length gowns and the pencil skirt.

Only Dolce & Gabbana can make vegetable prints look seriously sexy. Spicy chillies, red onions, yellow bell peppers, plum tomatoes and purple aubergines were printed onto the 50's style silhouettes. The idyllic Italian summer collection advanced into coquettish cocktail wear, with sheer full-skirted dresses delicately cast over frilly bustier tops. Knee-length frocks were garnished with colourful gems and floral motifs. To further enforce the food-inspired theme, models wore farfalle and macaroni shaped earrings, and strings of pasta around their necks. The colourful straw baskets are suited for an outing to the local fruit & veg market.

Ermanno Scervino's Spring 2012 collection was misted with a delicate spray of romance. Shades of pistachio, sea sand, blizzard blue and whipped cream gently washed across the stage. Satin negligées edged with lace stood-in as daywear. Courtly coats were coupled with pencil skirts. Tiered ruffles unfolded onto gossamer skirts. A beautifully feminine and refined collection for a modern day princess, royal or not.

Antonio Marras was inspired by French writer Jean Genet's 1947 play, The Maids, when putting together his Spring range. His colours of choice: a splash of cerise, violet, intense teals and greens, all underset by pale ivory and jet black. But it was the luminous yellow pointed heels that solicited most of my attention. Colour blocking collided with silky floral prints. Simple t-shirts were worn with generously cut skirts. There was also a good measure of leather and drapery. A striking collection that will look as good off the catwalk as on.

Salvatore Ferregamo's Spring range is sustained by charismatic evening gowns in opulent colours. Saturated shades of turquoise, magenta, cherry red and tangerine covered spray-tanned models with side swept waves. Exotic tropical prints furnished handkerchief dresses, tulip-wrapped skirts, jumpsuits and loosely fit pants. Thigh high slits and key-hole halter necks were incorporated into the silk scarf gowns. I like designer Massimiliano Giornetti's refreshing take on colour blocking. A trip to the tropics has never been this glamorous.

Paris Fashion Week has signalled a rising trend towards minimalism. The emerging craze towards austerity has put the town in mesmerism branding the Fashion Week with enthusiasm rather than just a boring display. The new varieties of designs definitely kindled the hearts of young fashion designers and it puzzled the crowd whether the economy-recession did really strike the textile industry. However, a few fashion resources were reported to have trite remarks and banal fashions, this Paris Fashion week is not that kind. It has surprised both the media and the crowd.

Tradition of designing modern clothes for women with British shades of white, black, and blue has stood a long way. An attempt to change this tradition requires a bold approach and an overwhelming design. Such designs and approaches were floating around in the Fashion week. A simple black skirt and shiny leather tops proved bolder and perfect for women than those loud colored dresses and accessories.

Several such revolutions were appearing in every corner of the light city. The very famous frill approach in silk was also broken to give a non-frill and elegant silk camel dress. The coat was cut V-shaped near the waist to accommodate the waist size rather than frills. It looked great with a fur boots and a same colored belt. Most of the fashion elements were shiny skins rather than the leather touch. Paring with the suits stood high the shiny boots and back straps. Black and chocolate brown colors dominated the fashion week this time.

yes, I know it happened a while ago but I'm blogging about it now. I hope that none of this goes against the confidentiality clause I had to sign when working backstage at a few s
hows at New York Fashion Week this past September but the reviews have been up for months and the collections made public too. What I'm posting is nothing that people have not seen before...

The Karen Walker show was the first runway show I did that season. I wasn't particularly familiar with the New Zealand designers work prior to it; it had never been of much interest to me. I can fairly say that this collection changed that. The Spring collection was filled with swingingly loose cut paper-thin chiffon that almost looked as if it was swimming across the body and included prints ranging from birds and clothing pegs to floral. The bright orange popped up in a lot of looks and the hard-edged yet appropriately neutral Beau Coops platform pumps were my favourite aspects of the collection. As well as the model you see above and previously in the orange skirt; Barbra. Absolutely gorgeous, hilarious and completely born to be in front of that camera.

Working at Naeem Kahn was exciting since it was the only show I worked at that was taking place at Lincoln Centre under the famed New York Fashion Week tents. The collection was absolutely breathtaking in terms of beadwork and draping and it was filled with delicious tropical colours and prints. Everything about his collection including the hair and jewelry was big and bold.

But honestly, one of my favourite things about being at these shows was working with the models. Runway models astound me. They are these otherworldy creatures who are basically perfect and I just adore them. I will never be one of those people who thinks that there should be fuller-figured girls on the runway. Runway models need to be tall and skinny. Simple. The same way a surgeon needs to be lucid and accurate. Its just how it should be. The girl above was absolutely gorgeous in person and a total sweetheart.

Living in the college bubble of small-town Gainesville almost gives us an excuse to brush off a big event like New York Fashion Week. These seven golden days are a haven to big-name designers and fashionistas with even bigger bank accounts, and it’s easy to understand why the event seems like another world to us here in Gator land. But this past week proved to small towns everywhere that New York Fashion Week is worth all the talk. February 10-17 marked the date for New York’s “Super Bowl of Fashion” to reveal the fall collections of the biggest designers in the fashion world. This year, the event made a location switch from the traditional tents at Bryan Park (featured in Project Runway) to Damrosch Park at the Lincoln Center where guests received the true red carpet treatment.

Here’s a short summary of the big week, hitting the highpoints of designers and style. Fur, high-waisted pants and skirts and up the leg slits are here to stay, shown by several designers. Michael Kors matched full-length fur coats with very wearable high-waisted trousers and Badgley Mischka prominently featured furs coupled with wool and patterned knits. Kors also opposed the “covered up” look for fall with cut-outs and slits that somehow still kept it classy and sophisticated. Eli Tahari’s collection included different looks with fur as well, worn with lighter, casual fabrics for day-time outfits.

For the color pallet of the week, shades like rich reds, and bright blues and purples appeared across several designers. Gowns throughout the week by Farah Angsana, Monique Lhuillier and Bradgley Mischka proved to be Oscar worthy, making these solid colors look brand new. Light dresses with a subtle simmer were also a recurring trend set by the designs of Michele Smith, Nanette Lepore and Derek Lam.

Fashion week is frequently known as Olympus fashion week due to the fact that its current sponsor is Olympus; however in recent years past its was also known as Mercedes Benz fashion week because they were the sponsors at that time.

I seem to by lingerie- obsessed. I love it, as most of you I think. A girl in linen is the sexiest view on Earth- just ask men :P I like wandering around shops and looking for cute and unusual pieces of garment like that. And I love Victoria’s Secret. Their sets are not only cute and sexy but also very original and diversified. Plus their models- for me, the most beautiful models in the world! Unfortunately, I can’t afford to buy anything from this brand so far. But I would love to go to their fashion show. It always seems so colorful and fun.

Victoria’s Secret is showing us their newest lingerie designs (for the Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 fashion season), everything from simple molded bras to uber sexy ensembles. There is all you might want to have, and you can see it on gorgeous Angels: Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge.

Despite the fact bright colors aren’t really trendy in Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 when it comes to lingerie, Victoria’s Secret splashed the whole rainbow on their designs. There are purples, pinks, blues, as well as prints like polka dots and florals in the collection.

To say that Victoria’s Secret collection is sexy is to say nothing. It is very tempting with lots of items almost sheer or trimmed with lace. However, there are many demure items too.

I spy lace, sheer, structure, sharp shoulders and earth-tone hues with a splash of vibrant colors to compliment. That just about sums up the upcoming Spring 2010 trend. It seem's that the trend of bright and lively colors will dwell into Spring 2010. But in fashion, as Heidi Klum would so proudly say "One day your in and the next you are out." This goes for our fellow neon colors and bright hues that have graced us with their presence. For those who were in favor of the bright and vibrant colors, enjoy them while they last. By the time this trend goes into full force at your local retail shops, earth-tones will be making their way in and you'll be over it. Some lasting trends? Don't put your cut-up jeans away just yet. If you copped yourself a pair of cropped pants....your just in time. As for accessories...don't worry. Look's like the love affair we've all been having with sequins and statement jewelery this season will continue on till the Spring season. Ooh the romance! I'll keep my favorite bold, CC Skye & Marc Jacobs accessories out for just a lil while longer. Some of my noteable upcoming looks following Spring 2010's upcoming trends?

I know most of us are planning our clothes for the winter of 2010, but a little thing called Fashion Week in London just passed and it's all about fashion trends for Spring / Summer 2011. What I like about Fashion Week in London, compared with European fashion lovers always so elegant, the color and expression. There are no boundaries and designers have a flair for anything goes!

London Fashion against Paris and Rome is a hot topic in my house. I am British, from beginning to end, but my husband is half Italian, half German. In fact he tells me about fashion week in Munich. Munich Fashion Week? "Does that even exist," I wonder?

Partly because I do not know and partly because it gets so aggravated by it fun. I think the best of British fashion, it seems that we have the courage and imagination to try new things. I'm sure the Italian tailoring is much better than ours, but to push boundaries, innovate and fashion it should be fun !!!!!! Consider dress by Vivienne Westwood. They are chic and sophisticated by any stretch of the imagination, but are flirty, frivolous and fresh.

Just look at the fashion show new summer always makes me feel so bright, but then I remember that we have at least 5 months of winter to pass before we can think of using these gorgeous summer dresses. Anyway let's take a look at what's hot and what not.

Dublin born Paul Costello began the London Fashion Week in style. I've always loved clothes and this year I love fashion for women is even more. He works with a lot of silver metal in his collection for Spring / Summer 2011. The Maxi dress is still very current but we see a rock near the edge of 1950 and roll in some of the shorter dresses. I've made a mental note to do some work in the legs during the winter, so I have perfect pins in April.

Going back a little further in time, Filippo Scuffi Daks of London continues the current trend of women's fashion 1940's glam! He was dresses, skirts and playsuits with a dropped waist or muted pastels, mostly, but was associated with a vibrant yellow to add depth.

If you are a person like me who likes to follow the latest trends in women but also likes to own something completely different, take the time to look at the fringe of fashion London Fashion Week website. These teams are fabulous and so British soil. The collection began with a gateway feeling similar to the designers who had already seen. Pastel colors a little deeper and maybe a little more buoyant in the texture. The production of his show was well orchestrated to build a crescendo of fashion! The masterpieces. The end of the show could have been the end of circus clowns, but clowns circus intelligent fashion. Oversized necklaces, oversized pants and a fabulous mix colors and materials. If you only check out a new design this year, make this one.

Another rumor swirling Moss's soon to be marriage is that Lady Gaga reportedly gave the couple an accordion as a weeding gift. On their love story:

It was curling up together in front of the compelling British television documentary series Big Fat Gypsy Weddings that appears to have sealed the deal. "I am so romantic about Gypsies," Kate explains. "They're not allowed to do anything until they get married. So they all get married really young, at sixteen. You can't believe the dresses. They're like blinging butterflies times ten; they can't move down the aisle! It's so genius. I was just watching Jamie, so cute, and I was like, these girls, they just spend their whole life waiting for that day -- let's do it!"

On the dress:

She wanted "a classic Galliano, those chiffon thirties kind. I've lived in his dresses for years, and they just make me feel so comfortable. But it's so much more couture, couture, couture. Oh, my God, the work that's going into the dress!" They discussed everything on the phone, and then, when John was out of rehab for the first of four marathon fittings, he brought her "bags full of bits, and pulled tulle and sequins and veils and flowers out. And then we just kind of pinned things together, like the old days, you know?"

On the wedding planning:

"Let's put it this way," she says. "If I didn't have my friends. . . . I don't know how people do it. I've had big birthday parties, and I've thrown parties for other people, but this is a completely different thing. It's the Met Ball! Because you have to look at every piece of cutlery; the details are intense. And then you wake up thinking about the ballet shoes for the girls; is the satin ribbon right? I've gone mental. Jamie thinks I'm mad, asking, 'Are you gonna be all right? After the wedding, I'm hoping you'll get back to normal!'"
